Svenska PEN

PEN Sweden is a membership organisation aiming for individuals working within the literary sector. As part of the network PEN International, we are guided by the ideals of the PEN Charter, which expresses every member’s commitment to protecting the free exchange of ideas, and promoting the value of literature.

Our members do either fall under the categories referred to by the PEN abbreviation (poets, playwrights, essayists, editors, novelists) or are proffessionally active as translators, publishers, editors, critics, journalists, booksellers or librarians. Membership requires agreement to the PEN International Charter of compliance.

Please fill in the form below with your details. The PEN Sweden board decides on new member admissions eight times a year. If your application is successful, you will receive an invoice for the annual fee by email and a welcome letter by post. If you live outside Sweden, however, the welcome letter will be sent digitally.

Your membership will be activated once the invoice has been paid. The annual fee is currently SEK 500.

At the bottom of the application form, you will find an attached consent form for PEN Sweden to process your personal data. (*) We will never disclose your information to third parties. You can find our privacy policy here.

Instructions. 1. IF YOU ARE A COPYRIGHT HOLDER (writer, translator, etc.) – Enter your professional title and up to three of your book titles or published articles. ATTACH WEB LINKS – one link per book title or article. The links should go to the book publisher, bookstore, or library catalog and show the individual book titles. 2.
